The project is called Pilot Handwriting, and its growing popularity is largely due to the simple “creation” process. To make you w own font:
  • Download a blank template with a box for each letter.
  • Print, and fill out each letter in pen
  • Hold the template up to your webcam to capture (alternatively use camera or scanner)

Once you’ve uploaded the template, you get a chance to fix up individual letter and perfect your writing (if only we got a chance to do that in grade school!)

Now, your email can look like hand written letters. A nice touch in this digital era.

Will Google roll out Auto-Links? http://www.foxdigitalweb.com.au/blog-details.php?blog_id=10
Google is currently working on a patent for Enhanced Document Browser with Auto-generated Linkage.

This would generate links automatically for each reader, with preference for previously visited site based on browsing history. This fits in with Google’s current trend of tailoring their algorithms to prioritise most relevant and genuine content. We’ve noticed the emphasis on frequently updated and user generated content such as blogs, reviews, ratings and so on.

It is not yet known how Google plans to use this tool, and may be just an in-house tool to enhance their filing. However, if rolled out across the web, it would be the ultimate SEO device, allowing for personalised link building for each user.

0 to $5.9 million in 4 years. http://www.foxdigitalweb.com.au/blog-details.php?blog_id=9
Curious to find out how?

SmartCompany posted an interview with Saunders where he reveals his not-so-tricky methods in growing the business and expanding customer base.

The key for him was establishing a professional appearance from the start, which made his business appear bigger than it was. Without ever telling a lie, Brett won customers with a few clever presentation tricks and impeccable promotional material.

This approach is relevant to businesses across the board. Regardless of the service or product you offer, no customer wants to be a guinea pig client. Therefore, by looking and acting like “one of the big guys” potential customers feel confident that they are dealing with a professional company. The benefit of being a smaller company behind the scenes is you can win new business by offering competitive rates.

Brett says it’s simple, “What do people look at when it comes to a business? They go to the website. If I’ve got my website looking like a big organisation, they are going to assume that we are a lot bigger.”

Brett Saunders has nailed this approach with his air-conditioning and mechanicals business Hiflow. We’ve seen similar success with our client in Geelong and regional Victoria who established a professional appearance to win clients in the Melbourne and metropolitan markets. It works, just think about how you research and assess potential business partnerships? Appearance and credibility is key.
